Debt Review Removal
Removing Debt Review has become quite a challenge lately. Unfortunately, you can’t do this step on your own—you’ll need a lawyer help. But don’t worry, we’re here to make it easier for you!
To end the debt review process and remove the debt review notice from your credit reports, you’ll need to make a court application. The court must determine that you are not over-indebted, even if there isn’t a court order for your debt review.
If your financial situation has improved and you can now meet all your repayments, the debt review process can be terminated. Listing you as under debt review or over-indebted would be unfair and against the spirit of the National Credit Act, as you are no longer over-indebted and can pay your creditors directly without needing a debt counsellor. To complete the removal, you’ll need a court order to rescind the debt review status. Credit bureaus will be updated via the NCR Debt Help System, and you’ll obtain a court order declaring that you are no longer over-indebted.
